FAQs

Can anyone join?
Yes, regardless of age, gender, race or disability, you'll find a warm welcome.

Do I have to pay?
Eventually, yes, but it's extremely important that the club suits you and the training sessions fit into your personal schedule, so we won't chase subscriptions until you've settled in. The annual membership fee currently stands at £20 for full membership, (£10 for under-16s and OAPs) and £10 for Sunday membership, (£5 for under-16s and OAPs). We also offer half-year membership from the 1st October for £10, (£5 for under-16s and OAPs).

Where does my membership subscription go?
The club is affiliated to England Athletics, to whom we pay a club affiliation fee and a registration fee for each individual member, for which you will receive an EA membership card / race licence, entitling you to a reduction in entry fees to races and events. The club also pays annual rent to Barnton Football Club for the use of their car park, changing facilities and kitchen. Finally, we stage a pre-Christmas party and club funds are used to book the venue and pay for catering etc.

Do I have to join to run?
No ... turn up and try it first to see if you like it.

Do I have to turn up?
No, we have quite a few occasional members and it's always nice to welcome them back and pretend they don't look a day older!

Who buys the biscuits I always eat?
We're not sure, but they keep coming!

Who makes the tea?
Razzer of course.
